In this article, the author wants to discover some of the different ways people have become fans, because he is interested in learning about what makes fans special - and, in the case of this chapter, what makes Doctor Who special for fans; and the author wanted to find out why he feels the way he does about Doctor Who, and why he feels comforatable in a room full of others who feel the same way.
Argument
The author argued that each person’s fandom of Doctor Who is different - unique but have something in common.
Data collection
He collected 20 people and quoted their words in this chapater, each one of them shared the experience that how they became a fan of Doctor who and why. In the reference area, the author listed Books/ Extracts/ Essays/ Articles/ Film and Televisions as the resources he had used to collect datas.
